What is Ember Picks?

Ember Picks is a free, independent site that tracks the top-grossing and top-free app rankings on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play across multiple countries and categories. Our goal is simple: give everyone easy access to daily app chart data — whether you're a developer watching the competition, a marketer tracking trends, or just curious about what's popular right now.

Our data

Rankings are updated once every day. A script fetches the current top 50 lists directly from the App Store and Google Play public APIs and stores them in a local database. Every ranking snapshot is kept, so you can browse historical trends, see which apps are rising or falling, and discover new entries.

We currently cover multiple markets including the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, France, South Korea, and Australia — across all major app and game categories.

No user data is collected or stored. The only data on this site is publicly available app ranking information.

Ember Picks is built and maintained by CODE lunatics, a small software company based in Finland.
